America Then and Now

The number of people living in the newly created United States back in July 1776 totaled 2.5 Million people. This 4th of July, the number of people living in the US is estimated at 311.7 Million.

Did you know that $3.2 Million worth of American flags were imported in 2010? Perhaps more surprising is that $486,026 worth of American flags were exported, with Mexico being the leading customer of those flags.

More than $230 Million worth of fireworks and pyrotechnics are shipped by US manufacturers each year.

Lady Liberty

More than 31 places have the word “Liberty” in their names; the most populous is Liberty, Missouri with nearly 30,000 people.

Quick update: If you are in a short sale situation eight er buying or selling let me turn the lights on a little for you.
Pitfall number one: We are in a short sale transaction and you are the buyer or seller this is what the banks are starting to do. You have an accepted offer between the seller and buyer. The short sale package has been submitted to the bank and you have a short sale bank approval. At this point the bank has already started foreclosure proceeding as well. If the buyer on the contract walks for what ever reason after the approval and notice of sale has been filed they (the bank) will not let you put a new buyer in and will foreclose. This has happened to three of my past five short sale transactions.
Rule of the day…. Sellers-make sure the buyer will make the wait 3-5 months….Buyers don’t write up that home if you wont wait…….
